A high-ranking official of the Ethiopian queen, he was returning from worship in Jerusalem when St. Philip, guided by the Menfeskiduse/ Holy Spirit, approached him. Through their encounter, the Ethiopian Eunuch embraced Afrikan Christianity and was baptized, marking a pivotal moment in the early spread of the Beta/House of Krystian/Christian faith. Abune Yesehaq was raised in the palace of Our Majesty. He was sent by Emperor Haile Selassie I to share the rich traditions of Ethiopian Orthodoxy. Abune Yesehaq faced the challenges of cultural differences and unfamiliar terrain with a grace that mirrored the serene landscapes of his homeland. His mission was not merely a Divine endeavor but a cultural exchange, an invitation to embrace the spiritual wisdom that had thrived for centuries in the heart of Ethiopia, the only nation in Africa that was never colonized and the Mother of the Beta/House of Krystian/Christianity.
