How to find and filter conversations in Messages

Search conversations and filter your inbox by unread, groups or archived chats.

Messages includes search and inbox filters to help you find conversations.

Search can match a group conversation title or the display name of conversation participants.

Inbox filters include All, Unread, Groups and Archived. The Messenger rail can also expose views such as Starred conversations.

Opening a conversation automatically marks it read.
