How to create a developer app and set up Sandbox

Create a CaribSocial developer app, generate a Sandbox OAuth client and test safely before production review.

Use Sandbox to test a CaribSocial integration before requesting production App Review.

Create the app
1. Sign in to CaribSocial and open Developer Portal > My Apps.
2. Select New app.
3. Enter an app name.
4. Add your website when available.
5. Add the exact HTTPS redirect URI your OAuth flow will return to.
6. Choose only the permissions your integration needs.
7. Create the app.

Set up Sandbox
On the app card, choose Set up sandbox. CaribSocial creates a public Sandbox OAuth Client ID for that app.

The Sandbox Client ID is an identifier, not a client secret. Public PKCE clients do not use a client secret.

Sandbox behavior
• Sandbox is isolated from production.
• Sandbox resources are synthetic test data and do not write to live CaribSocial tables.
• Sandbox has separate usage, idempotency and webhook activity.
• The Sandbox request quota is separate from production.

If you change an OAuth redirect URI, make sure the OAuth client registration uses the exact same URI. Redirect URIs must match exactly, including domain, path and HTTPS.

When your integration is ready for real users, complete the production review requirements and submit the app for App Review.
